Conocer los diferentes motores es algo fundamental para poder crear el videojuego que deseemos, aunque no obstante podemos optar por apoyarnos en otras fuentes. Los videojuegos open source pueden ser tomados como una gran base de aprendizaje para nuestros proyectos ya que muchos algoritmos que queramos implementar ya estarán hechos, o incluso modificar por completo el original para distribuirlo libremente.
